Client in the construction industry looking to appoint Survey Coordinator
We are looking for a Survey Coordinator with at least 15 years experience.
Minimum Requirements...
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Survey and/or Geomatics degree (B.Sc. Survey / Geomatics) or a relevant qualification.
• Compulsory registration with the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) as a Professional Land Surveyor to perform cadastral surveys.

EXPERIENCE:
• At least 15 years post-qualification survey experience required on cadastral data acquisition, sourcing, classification, verification, processing and interpretation of cadastral and deeds information.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Cadastral data calculations, transformation topographical drafting and survey data manipulation.
• Sound knowledge of computer-aided survey applications and experience in using ArcGIS, MicroStation, uSMART, Surpac and hand-held GPS instruments.
• Sound knowledge of MS Access and other MS Office software.
• Good interpersonal, planning, organisational, communication (verbal and written) and programme / project management skills.
• Knowledge of cadastral surveying and broader scope of its legal framework, mapping, coordinates and deeds systems of South Africa.

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The purpose of the BU Survey Coordinator position is to ensure that the survey discipline in the business unit meets the business requirements. This function's responsibilities include ensuring that the survey skill is up to standard, ensuring that the survey equipment is managed properly and updated when required, and ensuring that survey requirements are met on all sites.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Asset Management: Manage and update all survey and machine control systems and equipment.
• People Development: Ensure that the survey skill level and competency in the business unit is adequate for the business requirements.
• Process Management: Ensure that surveyors adhere to processes and procedures.
